The Arboretum and the Visitor Centre are open daily throughout the year (excluding Christmas Day and New Years Day) from 9.00 am to 5.00 pm, or dusk if earlier. There is plenty of free parking for all visitors to the Arboretum.

Admission Charges
There is no charge for admission to the Arboretum
No Dog Site
We are a newly emerging Wildlife Centre and also an area of peace and reflection and therefore we cannot unfortunately allow dogs onto the site. Of course, Guide Dogs are always welcome. There is, however, a small area where dogs can be exercised and bowls of water are available.
Visitor Centre
The Visitor Centre has a large shop which provides more details about the Plots and also shows some of the many and varied crafts that are produced in the area.
A licensed restaurant, 'The Arbor' is open daily from 9.30 am until 4.30 pm and picnicking is allowed at specific places on the site.
Parties can be catered for by prior arrangement and bookings can be made for evening events. We can also cater for Conferences in the Education Centre.
School visits are especially welcome and the site has a dedicated Education Officer who can tailor visits to specific requirements. For more information see the Education page.
Guided tours are a site speciality.
There is also disabled access to the Centre and to most of the site.
Millennium Chapel
The Chapel is the only place of worship in the country specifically dedicated in the Millennium. See the Chapel page for much more information.

This is a group of volunteers involved in the creation and support of The Arboretum. For more information see the Friends page.
Planning your visit
Guided tours of varying length can be arranged for which there is no fixed charge, but donations appreciated. Alternatively, visitors may choose to purchase a self-guide information sheet to explore any of the three established routes of varying length and interest. Our comprehensive guide book (£7.00) and detailed site map (£2.50) are available from the Visitor Centre on arrival.

With a site spreading over 150 acres it is possible to wander around for at least half a day and cover many miles. A plan of the site is also included on the website which has details of the majority of the plots. Please note: This plan is several years old. A new map of the Arboretum can be purchased from the Arboretum.
